Get in Shape This Summer at Dubai Sports World

It’s summer time again in Dubai. The weather is scorching hot just like the previous years, but you can never get used to it. The summer heat is really unbearable that there is nothing you can do but to stay indoors during the day. However, the weather should not keep you from being active this summer. In fact, this is the best time for Dubai residents to get in shape and do sports activities. Why? That is because Dubai Sports World is back.

Dubai Sports World

Dubai Sports World is the largest indoor summer sports venue, organized by Dubai World Trade Center with the help of Dubai Sports Council. Now on its 7th year, it hosts a variety of sports and events for three months in a 25,000 meter squared air conditioned indoor facility. Basketball, cricket, football, badminton, table tennis, lawn tennis, and volleyball  are some of the sports that visitors can play.

Organized sports competitions are held yearly in Dubai Sports World by different companies and schools. Groups of families, friends or co-workers also visit the place for some friendly matches. You can book any sport of your preference for a minimal cost by visiting its website.

What I like the most in this indoor sports venue is the free use of gym facility. Yearly, a gym company (this year is Technogym) provides training equipment that the public can use for free. There are also free group exercises like Zumba and Spinning Classes provided by Fitness 360. The facility is available everyday from 8 am to 1 am. Just register at the entrance and you can start your work out.

Dubai Sports World has facilities for all sports enthusiasts. The venue also has a jogging track, a wrestling/boxing ring, an obstacle course similar to American Ninja Warrior, and a bunker for skateboarders.

This summer is the best time for everyone to start a healthy lifestyle. So put your training clothes on, lace your shoes and head to Dubai Sports World to get back in shape.
